Westbound and Eastbound I-780 Access in Vallejo
Curtola Parkway Closed
Until Further Notice
Due to Emergency Overcrossing Removal
SOLANO COUNTY— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) working closely with the City of Vallejo has closed Curtola Parkway between Solano Avenue and Lemon Street in Vallejo until further notice. The closure started at 1:00 PM on January 22, 2018.
The Curtola Parkway closure is to accommodate the City of Vallejo’s project that will immediately remove and demolish a pedestrian overcrossing above Curtola Parkway. The pedestrian overcrossing has been closed since Friday, January 19, 2018.
Curtola Parkway will remain closed until the demolition of the pedestrian structure is completed.
Detours From Downtown Vallejo to Benicia
State Route 29/Sonoma Blvd to Eastbound I-780 or I-80
During the Curtola Parkway closure, motorists headed from Downtown Vallejo to eastbound
I-780 will continue southbound on SR-29/Sonoma Boulevard, then left onto eastbound Lemon Street, then enter either eastbound I-780 or eastbound or westbound I-80 from Lemon Street.
Detours from Benicia to Downtown Vallejo
Westbound I-780 to State Route 29/Sonoma Blvd
Motorists headed from westbound I-780 to Downtown Vallejo will turn right onto northbound Lemon Street, then left onto westbound Benicia Road, then left onto southbound Solano Avenue and enter SR-29 from Solano Avenue.
Curtola Park and Ride and SolTrans Bus Service
During the Curtola Parkway closure, the Curtola Park and Ride and Solano Transit (SolTrans) transit center at Curtola Parkway and I-780 will remain open and operational. However, no through traffic will be allowed on Curtola Parkway between Solano Avenue and Lemon Street.
