Project Information
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) are widening the southbound I-880 mainline from Hegenberger Road to Marina Boulevard for a High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane. Work includes reconstructing the Davis Street and Marina Boulevard overcrossings to accommodate the HOV lane and provide standard vertical clearance over the freeway. There are two segments to this project. The north segment of the project in Oakland extends from Hegenberger Road to just north of Davis Street; the south segment in San Leandro extends from Davis Street to Marina Boulevard.
