State Route 29-Channelization Project
Updates Week of July 2 and July 8
Nighttime Work Starts July 6
NAPA COUNTY – Caltrans and its local stakeholders have started construction of the State Route 29 (SR-29) Channelization Project in and near St. Helena in Napa County.
Construction- Updates Week of July 2
Major construction on the project started in June 2015 and will be completed in 2017.
During the week of July 2 through July 7, crews will install drainage systems adjacent to the roadway on northbound and southbound (SR-29) and grading the roadway shoulders on northbound SR-29 from Mee Lane to Stice Lane.
No work is scheduled Friday, July 3, July 4 and July 5.
Construction- Updates Week of July 8
During the week of July 8 through July 10, crews will start night work on SR-29 between Mee Lane and Stice Lane. Crews will install drainage systems beneath the roadway.
Work is scheduled from 8:00PM until 6:00AM the following mornings Monday through Friday. Although no full highway closures are scheduled that week, drivers may experience delays as crews work to widen SR-29 with intermittent alternating lane closures in effect during construction.
