Real
McCoy II Ferry Scheduled For Repairs
Two Overnight Closures
Start Monday, January 28th
SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily suspend
overnight service of the Real McCoy II Ferry on Monday, January 28th
and Tuesday, January 29th to perform necessary mechanical work on
the engines.
The
Real McCoy II is scheduled to be closed Monday, January 28th at
9p.m. until 7a.m on Tuesday, January 29th.
The
Real McCoy is also scheduled to be closed Tuesday, January 29th at 9p.m.
until 7 a.m. on Wednesday,
January 30th. All work is weather permitting.
The
Real McCoy II, also known as the Cache Slough Ferry, provides regular service
on State Route 84 between Ryer Island and the city of Rio Vista in Solano
County.
The
delta region ferry normally runs scheduled crossings every 20 minutes, on the
hour, 20 minutes after the hour, and 40 minutes after the hour.
Real McCoy II Ferry Detour
During
the service interruption, motorists are advised to use Highway 160 and the J-Mack Ferry along Highway 220.
