Real McCoy Ferry
Service Temporarily Suspended For Emergency
Repairs
Crews Work to Restore Service by February 1st
SOLANO
COUNTY –
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has temporarily
suspended service of the Real McCoy II Ferry to perform emergency mechanical
repairs. Crews are working to restore service as early as February 1st.
Caltrans is working to make repairs to the boat’s propulsion system.
Due to the repairs on the Real McCoy, all overnight
maintenance previously scheduled on the Real McCoy and J-Mack for the week of
January 21st has been postponed until further notice.
The J-Mack will remain open while repairs are made
to the Real McCoy.
The Real McCoy
II, also known as the Cache Slough Ferry, provides regular service on State
Route 84 between Ryer Island and the city of Rio Vista in Solano County.
The delta
region ferry normally runs scheduled crossings every 20 minutes, on the hour,
20 minutes after the hour, and 40 minutes after the hour.

During the
service interruption, motorists are advised to use Highway 160 and the J-Mack Ferry along Highway
220.
