Highway 12-Jameson Canyon
Expect
Delays due to Paving and Concrete Median Work
Lane
Reductions Week of January 27th
NAPA and SOLANO COUNTIES – The California Department of
Transportation (Caltrans) will implement ongoing paving and concrete median work
as part of the Highway 12-Jameson Canyon Widening Project in Napa and Solano
Counties.
The work will
require daytime lane reductions on eastbound and westbound Highway 12 between
Highway 29 and the Napa/Solano county line beginning January 27th. Crews will
reduce eastbound and westbound traffic on Highway 12 from two to one lane at
various locations throughout the canyon. One lane eastbound and one lane
westbound will remain open at all times.
This latest
phase of work is scheduled to start on Monday, January 27th and be completed
Friday, January 31st. Lane reductions will be in effect from 8 a.m.
until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. All
work is weather permitting
Motorists
should expect delays and allow for extra travel times.
Caltrans will
also install changeable message signs to alert motorists.
Highway 12-Jameson Canyon Alternative
Route
To avoid
delays, motorists may also consider using Highway 37 as an alternative route.
Eastbound
Highway 12 motorists are advised to use southbound Highway 29 to eastbound
Highway 37 to eastbound Interstate 80. Westbound Highway 12 motorists should
use westbound Interstate 80 to westbound Highway 37 to northbound Highway 29.
