Real McCoy II Ferry Closed For Overnight Maintenance
Starting Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 10:00 PM

SOLANO COUNTY– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily suspend service of the Real McCoy II Ferry to perform overnight preventive maintenance.

The Real McCoy II is scheduled to be closed Thursday, October 27 at 10:00 PM until the morning of Friday, October 28 at 4:00 AM. All work is weather permitting.

The Real McCoy II also known as the Cache Slough Ferry, provides regular service on State Route 84 between Ryer Island and the city of Rio Vista in Solano County.

The delta region ferry normally runs scheduled crossings every 20 minutes, on the hour, 20 minutes after the hour, and 40 minutes after the hour.

Real McCoy II Ferry Detour
During the overnight service interruption of the Real McCoy Ferry, motorists are advised to use the J-Mack Ferry on State Route 220 or the Miner Slough Bridge on State Route 84 to travel overnight between Ryer Island and neighboring communities in Sacramento and Solano counties.

State Route-12 Connector Closures
Overnight Detours
Start Tuesday, October 18, 2016

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and its project partner the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) are completing paving work related to the Interstate 80/Interstate 680/State Route 12 (I-80/I-680/SR-12) Interchange Project in Fairfield.

I-80 Connector to SR-12 Closed Overnight
For worker and public safety, the westbound I-80 connector to westbound SR-12 will be closed overnight Tuesday, October 18 at 10:00 PM until 4:00 AM the following morning.

Overnight Detours from I-80 to SR-12
Motorists traveling westbound I-80 to westbound SR-12 are advised to exit westbound I-80 at Suisun Valley Road, continue westbound on Neitzel Road, left unto Business Center Drive, then left unto Green Valley Road to enter the new W-80/SR-12 Onramp.

Motorists traveling eastbound I-80 to westbound SR-12 are advised to exit Green Valley Road, turn left to northbound Green Valley Road, make a U-turn at Business Center Drive Intersection and enter the new W-80/SR-12 Onramp. Detour signs will be posted. Expect delays.

Entrance to SR-12 from Red Top Road Closed Overnight
Travel onto westbound and eastbound State Route 12 (SR-12) from Red Top Road will also be closed and motorists detoured overnight Tuesday, October 18 and Wednesday, October 19 each night at 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following mornings. All work is weather permitting.

Westbound I-80 Alternating Lane Closures
Alternating lane closures will also be in effect on westbound I-80 at Green Valley Road overnight each night October 17 to October 21 at 7:00PM until 5:00AM the following mornings.

Westbound-State Route 37- Vallejo
Overnight Ramp and Connector Closures-Paving Work
Starts 8:00PM Wednesday, October 12, 2016

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform overnight paving work on State Route 37 (SR-37) at the Fairgrounds Drive/Discovery Kingdom exit in Vallejo for two consecutive nights.

The work is scheduled Wednesday, October 12 and Thursday, October 13 starting each night at 8:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following mornings. All work is weather permitting.

Westbound SR-37 Fairgrounds Drive Off-Ramp Overnight Closure:
To ensure public and worker safety, the Fairgrounds Drive/Discovery Kingdom off-ramp from westbound SR-37 will be closed during the work.

Motorists exiting Fairgrounds Drive/Discovery Kingdom from westbound SR-37 will be detoured to southbound State Route 29 (SR-29), then eastbound SR-37 and exit Fairgrounds Drive from eastbound SR-37.

I-80 Connector to Westbound SR-37 Overnight Closure
The westbound SR-37 connector from westbound I-80 will also be closed.

Motorists traveling to westbound SR-37 from westbound I-80 will exit at Tennessee Street West, then northbound on State Route 29 (SR-29). Detours signs will be posted.

Overnight Lane Reductions-Expect Delays
Two Consecutive Nights
Starts Thursday, October 6 at 8:00PM

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and its project partner the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) are completing additional drainage work related to the Interstate 80/Interstate 680/State Route 12 (I-80/I-680/SR-12) Interchange Project.

For public and worker safety, two consecutive nights of lane reductions are scheduled on westbound I-80 from the I-680 interchange to the Red Top Road exit in Fairfield.

Three of five traffic lanes on westbound I-80 will be closed Thursday, October 6 and Friday, October 7 each night starting at 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following mornings. The lane closures are scheduled in the three left lanes of westbound I-80.

All work is weather permitting. Motorists should expect delays.

Nighttime Lane Closures Scheduled for Interstate 80 for Paint Project

Oakland, Calif. – Caltrans is conducting a maintenance project to repaint the Interstate 80/580/880 separator steel structure in the area of the MacArthur Maze, and an overnight lane closure is scheduled for I-80 eastbound at the Berkeley Curve. The nighttime lane closures start Monday October 3 through Thursday October 6, weather permitting.

To facilitate the ongoing work, the following closures have been scheduled:

• I-80 EB at the Berkeley Curve will be reduced by one lane nightly Monday October 3 through Thursday October 6 from 11:59 PM until 5:00 AM the following day.

Overnight Full Highway and Ramp Closures
Week of October 9-October 14, 2016

SONOMA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin installing new retro-reflective signs at several locations on State Route 12 (SR-12) in Sonoma County. This first phase of installations starts on SR-12 in Santa Rosa on Sunday, October 9, 2016 and will continue for approximately one week.

To ensure worker and public safety, the following locations along SR-12 will be closed overnight. Detour signs will be posted. Motorists should expect delays.

Westbound SR-12 Overnight Full Highway Closures
Westbound SR-12 between Farmers Lane and Maple/Brookwood Avenue in Santa Rosa will be closed Sunday, October 9 until Friday, October 14 starting each night at 11:00 PM until approximately 5:00 AM the following mornings.

Eastbound SR-12 Overnight Full Highway Closures
• Eastbound SR-12 between Fulton Road/North Wright Road and Dutton Avenue will closed Sunday, October 9 until Friday, October 14 starting each night at 11:00PM until approximately 5:00 the following mornings.
• Eastbound SR-12 between the U.S. Highway 101 and South E Street will also be closed.

Westbound SR-12 Overnight Ramp Closures-Santa Rosa
When ramp closures are necessary on westbound SR-12, ramps will be closed from 11:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following mornings. The following ramps may be closed intermittently starting October 2 until October 5:

• Westbound SR-12 on-ramp from Farmers Lane
• Westbound SR-12 off-ramp to South E. Street (Maple/Brookwood Avenue)
• Westbound/Eastbound connector to Northbound U.S. Highway 101

Eastbound SR-12 Overnight Ramp Closures-Santa Rosa
When ramp closures are necessary on eastbound SR-12, ramps will be closed from 7:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following mornings. The following ramps may be closed intermittently starting October 9 until October 14:

• Eastbound SR-12 connector to Northbound and Southbound U.S. Highway 101
• Eastbound SR-12 off-ramp to Stony Point Road
• Eastbound SR-12 off-ramp to South E Street (Bennett Valley Road)

Please watch for detour signs during closures.

Caltrans will announce additional information regarding sign installation work continuing in Sonoma County beyond October 14, 2016 as soon as information is available.

The new signs are illuminated by motorists’ headlights, making them more visible than traditional signage, and don’t require electricity.

U.S. Route 101 MSN B3 San Antonio Curve Correction Project
Traffic Switch Planned for Friday Night, September 30 and Wednesday, October 5

Marin County/Sonoma County – On Friday night, September 30 through Saturday morning, October 1 Caltrans contractors will perform a traffic switch for the existing lanes in the median along southbound US-101 between San Antonio Road and Kastania Road in Sonoma/Marin County.

Wednesday night, October 5 through Thursday morning, October 6 Caltrans contractors will perform an additional traffic switch for the remaining lanes in the median along southbound US-101 between San Antonio Road and Kastania Road in Sonoma/Marin County.

Please follow the directions of California Highway Patrol, drive cautiously through the construction zone, leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you, and Slow for the Cone Zone.
