Overnight Closure of Southbound State Route 17
Between Lark Avenue and Los Gatos-Saratoga Road
in Los Gatos
Starts Friday November 2, 2018

Los Gatos – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled overnight closures of southbound (SB) State Route 17 (SR-17) between Lark Avenue, and Los Gatos-Saratoga Road, in Los Gatos. This will allow crews to begin repairing the concrete girder underneath the Blossom Hill Road Overcrossing. Work is scheduled to start November 2, until November 26.

Overnight work is scheduled every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Monday, November 26, 2018.
Work Schedule:
• Friday, 12:00 AM to Saturday 5:00 AM
• Saturday, 12:00 AM to Sunday 5:00 AM
• Sunday 12:00 AM to Monday 5:00 AM

Detours signs will be posted. All work is weather permitting.

Detour Routes:
• From SR-17: Exit WB Lark Avenue, to SB Winchester Boulevard, continue to N Santa Cruz Avenue, to EB SR-9, to Los Gatos-Saratoga Road, to SB ST-17 on ramp.
• From EB Lark Avenue: Continue to SB to Los Gatos Boulevard, to WB Los Gatos-Saratoga Road, to SB ST-17 on ramp.

Caltrans Bridge Rail Replacement Project in Los Gatos

Santa Clara County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin a project to replace bridge railings at two locations along State Route 9 at (Booker Creek on post mile 3.6 and Highway 9 at (State Route 17) at post mile 11.4. (See Map Below)

The work will involve the removal of bridge railings, metal beam guardrails, saw cutting sidewalk and grinding asphalt both during the day and evening. There will be ramp and freeway closures during this project. Construction will begin on Wednesday, July 6 and continue through October, 2016. Noise is inevitable during this project; however, it will be kept within approved construction standards.

Advance warning changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the area and please “Slow for the Cone Zone.”

Booker Creek Closures: Wed 7/6 to Saturday 7/9 (one-way traffic control from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) Traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

SR-17 Closures: Wed 7/6 to 7/9 from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
