Westbound-I-80 at Green Valley Road in Fairfield
Overnight Full Highway Closures
Expect Delays
Start Thursday, March 9, 2017
SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and its project partner the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) will install permanent overhead highway signs on westbound Interstate-80 at Green Valley Road in Fairfield. The work is part of the I-80/I-680/SR-12 Interchange Project.
Westbound I-80 Overnight Full Highway Closure-March 9 and 10
To ensure worker and public safety, a full overnight closure of westbound I-80 at Green Valley Road is scheduled Thursday, March 9 starting at 10:30 PM until Friday, March 10 at 3:00 AM.
Westbound I-80 will also be closed the following night, Friday, March 10 at 11:30 PM until 4:00 AM on Saturday, March 11.
Overnight Westbound I-80 Detour
During the overnight closures, westbound I-80 motorists will be detoured onto the Suisun Valley Road off-ramp, then onto Neitzel Road, left onto Business Center Drive, left on Green Valley Road and re-enter westbound I-80 from Green Valley Road. Detour signs will be posted. Motorists should allow for extra travel time. All work is weather permitting.

Full Highway Closure
Starting Monday, February 27, 2017
SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled a long-term closure of State Route 113 (SR-113) between Hastings Road and Hay Road in rural Solano County to complete storm-related repairs to the highway.
The closure is just south of the City of Dixon in unincorporated Solano County.
SR-113 will be closed Monday, February 27 at 6:00AM until 6:00PM Sunday, March 11.
During the closure, motorists are advised to use State Route 12 (SR-12) and Interstate 80 (I-80) as alternate routes between Fairfield/Dixon/Vacaville and the Delta region. Limited access will be available for local residents and emergency responders only.
Caltrans will complete culvert repairs which crews started during January’s heavy rain storms. SR-113 was closed temporarily in early January and reopened on January 11, 2017.
The additional repairs scheduled to start February 27 will improve drainage adjacent to SR-113 and make the highway less flood prone in the future.

Traffic Controls for Maintenance Inspections of Delta Bridges in Solano, Contra Costa and Sacramento Counties
Solano County / Contra Costa County / Sacramento County, Calif. – Caltrans is alerting motorists of maintenance inspections prompting one-way traffic control of multiple bridges in the Delta region. The bridges affected and closure details are as follows:
• The Isleton Bridge on State Route 160 northbound and southbound will have a lane closure and one-way traffic controls in effect on Monday February 27 from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
• The 3 Mile Slough Bridge on State Route 160 northbound and southbound will have a lane closure and one-way traffic controls in effect on Tuesday February 28 from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
• The Rio Vista Bridge on State Route 12 will not have lane closures but motorists may experience inspection-related bridge openings on Wednesday March 1 from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
Motorists should anticipate delays, seek alternate routes, if possible, and drive with caution through the work zone.

January 2017 through March 2017
Alameda County, Calif. – Caltrans is conducting work to upgrade curb ramps and sidewalks for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance improvements along State Route 13 (SR-13) / Ashby Avenue in Berkeley, Alameda County. The work takes place at 15 locations between Shattuck Avenue and 7th Street along SR-13 / Ashby Avenue. During the week of February 21-24, construction is anticipated at: SR-13 between California Street and King Street and SR-13 west of Acton Street. Work is not scheduled for Monday February 20.
Sidewalk and ADA ramp work will necessitate temporary equipment staging in the parking lane along the SR-13 / Ashby Avenue corridor, making the parking lane in the area of construction unavailable for general use on a short-term basis. Signage will provide 72-hour notice prior to any parking restrictions. Work will be conducted in phases at individual locations. Weather permitting, work will be conducted according to the schedule below:
• Work impacting the eastbound parking lane will take place from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM weekdays (Monday through Friday).
• Work impacting the westbound parking lane will take place from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM weekdays (Monday through Friday). Occasional Saturday work will take place from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

Emergency Lane / Connector Closures for Storm Damage Repair on State Route 13 and I-580 in Oakland
Alameda County, Calif. – Caltrans District 4 is conducting emergency work on slope repair and storm damage repair in the vicinity of State Route 13 (SR-13) southbound where it meets Interstate 580 (I-580) in Oakland in Alameda County. Work will be taking place under the bridge deck, and crews will be closing lanes for safety. Specific closures are anticipated at the following locations:
• The off ramp from SR-13 southbound at Calaveras Road remains closed through Friday February 25.
• The off ramp above shares a lane with the connector from SR-13 southbound to I-580 westbound; this connector will remain open for the duration of the work.
• The connector from SR-13 southbound to I-580 eastbound will be reduced to one lane from Saturday February 18 at 7:00 AM until Tuesday February 21 at 5:00 AM. Expect additional traffic congestion in this location and proceed cautiously.

Intersection Closure Roadway Repairs of State Route 61 in Alameda County
Alameda, County – Caltrans is closing the intersection of State Route 61 (SR-61), Encinal Avenue and Park Street in the City of Alameda, on February 13th at 9:00 PM and reopening on February 14th at 6:00 AM. The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely repave and repair damaged roadways due to heavy storm activities over the last few weeks.
The detour plan is as follows:
• North Bound SR-61 traffic: right on Regent Street; left on Central Avenue; left on Oak Street; then right on Encinal Avenue.
• South Bound Hwy 61 traffic: right on Oak Street; left on San Jose Avenue; left on Park Avenue E; then right on Encinal Avenue.
• West Bound Park Street traffic: right on Central Avenue; left on Oak Street; left on San Antonio Avenue; then right on Park Street.
• East Bound Park Street traffic: right on San Jose Avenue; left on Regent Street; eft on Central Avenue; then right on Park Street.

Starting February 14, 2017
SONOMA COUNTY–The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled intermittent closures for northbound and southbound State Route 1 (SR-1) just north of the town of Jenner beginning Tuesday, February 14 at 8PM.
Caltrans will install shore piling to the northbound lane of SR-1 which has been impacted by recent storms. To ensure public and worker safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect on SR-1 just north of Muniz Ranch Road during four consecutive nights. The work is scheduled on Tuesday, February 14 until Friday February 17 starting at 8PM each night until 8AM the following mornings.
During the work Caltrans will intermittently close the highway in 30-40 minute increments. Local access for emergency services will be permitted.

SAN MATEO and SANTA CLARA COUNTIES – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has temporarily closed the far-left traffic lane on northbound U.S. Highway 101 (101) between Oregon Expressway and University Avenue in
Palo Alto due to emergency repairs.
The location is near the San Francisquito Creek Bridge at the border of San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Motorists should expect delays.
Caltrans is making emergency repairs to the existing northbound far-left traffic lane approaching the old San Francisquito Creek Bridge on northbound 101. This week’s heavy rains undermined a section of the roadway.
Caltrans estimates reopening of the affected lane could occur sometime between 12:01AM and 3:00AM on Saturday, February 11.
