State Route 13 Storm Damage Repair Project at Moraga Avenue
Ramp Closures – June 12 through June 24
Oakland, Calif. – Caltrans will begin full ramp closures for construction of the Storm Damage Repair Project on State Route 13 (SR-13) at Moraga Avenue, Alameda County. The project is located east of the on ramp shoulder of northbound SR-13 (NB SR-13). The purpose of the project is to repair the slope and prevent further slide damage to the hillside. The project includes constructing earth retaining structures with a replanting project to follow construction.
The Moraga Avenue on ramp to SR-13 northbound from the Montclair neighborhood is anticipated to be closed during the following time periods:
• From Sunday, June 12 at 8:00 PM until Monday June 13 at 4:00 AM
• Monday June 13 through Friday June 17 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily
• Monday June 20 through Friday June 24 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily
Detour signs will be in place to redirect motorists towards alternate routes. Construction vehicle traffic and noise may be experienced in and near the construction area and Fernwood Drive.
