Nighttime Closures Scheduled for State Route 24
Caldecott Tunnel Bore 2, May 10 - May 12

Oakland, Calif. – Caltrans is conducting overnight maintenance work to power-wash eastbound State Route 24 in Bore 2 of the Caldecott Tunnel, reducing the number of east bound lanes from four lanes to two lanes through the Tunnel for the period of the closure. Work hours are scheduled for:

• From Tuesday May 10 at 10:00 PM until Wednesday May 11 at 4:30 AM.

• From Wednesday May 11 at 10:00 PM until Thursday May 12 at 4:30 AM.

• Two lanes of State Route 24 eastbound through the tunnel will remain open during the same time periods, as will all lanes of State Route 24 westbound through the tunnel.
