Real McCoy Ferry
Emergency Repairs Started September 10, 2018
Closed Until Further Notice
SOLANO COUNTY– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has suspended service of the Real McCoy Ferry on State Route 84 (SR-84) until further notice to perform emergency repairs to the boat’s propulsion system. Emergency repairs started on Monday, September 10, 2018.
Caltrans will make an announcement once repairs are completed.
The Real McCoy also known as the Cache Slough Ferry, provides regular service on SR-84 between Ryer Island and the City of Rio Vista in Solano County.
The delta region ferry normally runs scheduled crossings every 20 minutes, on the hour, 20 minutes after the hour, and 40 minutes after the hour.
Real McCoy Ferry Detour During the temporary service interruption of the Real McCoy and overnight closures to the SR 12 Rio Vista Bridge, motorists are advised to use the J-Mack Ferry on State Route 220 or the Miner Slough Bridge on State Route 84 to travel between Ryer Island and communities in Sacramento and Solano counties.
