SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily close the J-Mack Ferry on State Route 220 (SR-220) in the Delta early Sunday morning.
The J-Mack is scheduled to close starting Sunday, March 18 at 6:00 AM until 1:00 PM that same day. Caltrans will perform repairs to the boat’s underwater tow cable.
This work is rain or shine.
The J-Mack Ferry runs on a cable across Steamboat Slough between Ryer Island in Solano County and Sacramento County. And provides around the clock service on SR-220.
During the closure, motorists are advised to use the Real McCoy Ferry, also known as the Cache Slough Ferry along State Route 84.
