State Route 29-Channelization Project-Napa County
Updates Starting Sunday, May 8
NAPA COUNTY – Caltrans and its local stakeholders are continuing construction of the State Route 29 (SR-29) Channelization Project in and near St. Helena in Napa County Below is the week-ahead project update for the week of May 8 and May 15.
WEEK STARTING MAY 8, 2016-Daytime Work
• Roadway excavation and subgrade compaction between Dowdell Lane and Charter Oak Avenue in the northbound shoulder
• Conduit and pole foundation installation for the Grayson Intersection Signal
• Storm drain installation between Stice Lane and Dowdell Lane in the southbound shoulder
Hours of work are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday. Northbound shoulder work primarily behind temporary railing (k-rail). Southbound shoulder work behind portable delineators or traffic cones. No daytime lane closures scheduled. Slower traffic anticipated due to use of heavy equipment. No night work scheduled.
WEEK STARTING MAY 15, 2016-Daytime Work
• Curb and gutter construction btwn Dowdell Lane & Charter Oak Avenue in northbound shoulder
• Roadway compaction btwn Dowdell Lane and Charter Oak Avenue in the northbound shoulder
• Storm drain installation between Stice Lane and Dowdell Lane in the southbound shoulder
• Roadway excavation between Stice Lane and Chaix Lane in the southbound shoulder
Work is 7:00AM-5:00PM, Mon-Fri. No lane closures scheduled. No night work scheduled.
