84-Miner Slough Bridge- Emergency Deck Repair

SOLANO COUNTY– The
California Department of Transportation (Caltrans)
will be doing emergency deck repair work on the Highway 84-Miner Slough Bridge
in Solano County. The bridge is located on Ryer Island in the Delta between Rio
Vista and Sacramento County. Crews will be doing extensive repair work on the
bridge deck which has deteriorated over time.
To ensure public and worker safety, a full bridge closure is
scheduled to go into effect starting Monday, May 12th at 12:01 a.m. until
Wednesday, May 21st. Caltrans will notify the public once the bridge
is reopened to motorists.
During the bridge closure, motorists heading onto or off of
Ryer Island will need to use either the Real McCoy Ferry on Highway 84 or the
J-Mack Ferry on Highway 220.

Boaters should contact the U.S Coast Guard ahead of time to
schedule any waterway crossings under the bridge. Crossings must be approved
ahead of time.
