J-Mack Ferry Overnight Closure December 10th
For
Regular Preventive Maintenance
SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily suspend
service of the J-Mack Ferry. The J-Mack is scheduled to be closed tonight,
Tuesday, December 10th at 10 p.m. until Wednesday, December 11th
at 4 a.m. to perform regular preventive maintenance.
During
tonight’s work, crews will be doing work on the ferry’s fuel tank.
The
J-Mack, also known as the Steamboat Slough Ferry, provides around the clock
service on State Route 220 between Ryer Island in Solano County and Grand
Island in Sacramento County.
During
the closure, motorists are advised to use the Real McCoy Ferry, also known as
the Cache Slough Ferry along Highway 84.
