Highway 12-Jameson Canyon
Nighttime
Lane Reductions Start Friday, November 1st
NAPA COUNTY – The California Department of
Transportation (Caltrans) will implement ongoing paving work as part of the Highway
12 Jameson Canyon widening project in Napa and Solano Counties.
The paving
will require a 2-day period of evening to early morning lane reductions on
eastbound Highway 12 between the Highway 12/Highway 29 interchange and Kelly
Road in Napa County. Crews will reduce eastbound traffic on Highway 12 from two
to one lane in the area. As part of the work, one of the two left-turn lanes
from southbound Highway 29 onto eastbound Highway 12 will also be closed.
The work is
scheduled to start on Friday, November 1st and be completed on the
morning of Sunday, November 3rd.
The first
night of lane reductions will be in effect beginning on Friday, November 1st
at
6 p.m. until
Saturday, November 2nd at 5 a.m. The second night of lane reductions
will be in effect beginning Saturday, November 2nd at 6 p.m. until
Sunday, November 3rd at 5 a.m. All work is weather permitting.
The
California Highway Patrol (CHP) and flaggers will help direct motorists.
Caltrans will also install changeable message signs. Motorists should expect
delays and allow for extra travel times.
