J-Mack Ferry Overnight Closures Start Wednesday
For Regular Preventive Maintenance
SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily suspend service
of the J-Mack Ferry to perform two nights of regular preventive maintenance
starting Wednesday, September 4th at 10 p.m.
The
J-Mack will be taken out of service each night Wednesday, September 4th,
and Thursday September 5th at 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. the following
mornings.
The
J-Mack also known as the Steamboat Slough Ferry, provides regular service on
State Route 220 between Ryer Island and Grand Island in Sacramento County.
J-Mack Ferry Detour
During
this service interruption, motorists are advised to use Highway 84 and the Real
McCoy Ferry or Highway 160.
