Lower Water Levels and Reduced Currents Reported

SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) returned the J-Mack Ferry to service on Monday, March 18, 2019 at approximately 7:30 AM. The ferry is located on State Route 220 (SR-220) in the Delta.

Caltrans determined water levels had decreased and currents had receded enough to return the J-Mack to service.
The J-Mack Ferry runs on a cable across Steamboat Slough between Ryer Island in Solano County and Sacramento County. And provides around the clock service on SR-220.

For the latest, please call the Caltrans Ryer Island Ferry Update Line at (510) 622-0120.
