Returned to Service
Emergency Repairs Completed
Thursday, March 1, 2018

SOLANO COUNTY– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has returned the Real McCoy Ferry on State Route 84 (SR-84) to service after completing emergency repairs to the boat’s propulsion system.

The repairs were completed and the boat returned to service at approximately 2:30 PM on Thursday, March 1, 2018.
The closure started the night of Sunday, February 25, 2018.

The Real McCoy also known as the Cache Slough Ferry, provides regular service on SR-84 between Ryer Island and the City of Rio Vista in Solano County.

The delta region ferry normally runs scheduled crossings every 20 minutes, on the hour, 20 minutes after the hour, and 40 minutes after the hour.
