FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

State Route 121-Sarco Creek Bridge in Napa
Major Construction Completed
New Bridge Opened

NAPA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has completed major construction of the new State Route-121 (SR-121) Sarco Creek Bridge in Napa County and has opened the new bridge to traffic.

Local detours were lifted and motorists were allowed to travel on the new bridge, for the very first time, on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at approximately 3:45 PM.

The bridge is located on Silverado Trail (SR-121) between Hagen Road and Trancas Street just northeast of Downtown Napa.

SR-121 Sarco Creek Bridge Project
Caltrans started construction of the new SR-121 Sarco Creek Bridge in June 2017. The new bridge replaces the old Sarco Creek Bridge. The old bridge foundation had been scoured due to several decades of current from the creek below and was in need of replacement.

SR-121 Detours Lifted-New Approach Lane Configurations
Motorists on SR-121 should drive with caution as crews switch traffic lanes and remove temporary barricades and detour-related signage approaching the new bridge.

Caltrans thanks you for your patience as we maintain California’s bridges and highways.
