FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

State Route 84-Real McCoy Ferry
Closed Until Further Notice
Due to Emergency Repairs

SOLANO COUNTY– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has temporarily suspended service of the Real McCoy Ferry on State Route 84 (SR-84) until further notice due to emergency repairs.

Crews are now working to repair the boat’s propulsion system after the boat hit a log during its scheduled morning service across Cache Slough.
Service on the Real McCoy ferry was suspended at approximately 7:30 AM Tuesday, October 24, 2017.

Caltrans will make an announcement once an estimated return time is determined.

During the closure of the Real McCoy, motorists are advised to use either the J-Mack Ferry on SR-220 or the Miner’s Slough Bridge on SR-84 as a detour when traveling between Ryer Island and Sacramento and Solano Counties.
