FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

State Route 29-Near St. Helena
One-Way Traffic Controls for Tree Trimming
Expect Delays-Two Consecutive Days
August 30 and August 31, 2017

NAPA COUNTY— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be trimming eucalyptus trees on State Route 29 (SR-29) just north of St. Helena on two consecutive days.

The work is scheduled Wednesday, August 30 and Thursday, August 31 starting each day at 9:00 AM and will completed by 3:00 PM each day. All work is weather permitting.

August 30-SR-29 between Deer Park Road and Lodi Lane
Caltrans will be trimming trees on SR-29 between Deer Park Road and Lodi Lane on August 30.
To ensure public and worker safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect. Crews will alternate lane closures in both northbound and southbound directions. This will allow one traffic lane on SR-29 to remain open during the work. Flaggers will help direct traffic.

August 31-SR-29 near Whitehall Lane
The work on August 31 will be performed on SR-29 just south of Whitehall Lane.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution as northbound lanes on SR-29 will be temporarily shifted to allow crews to complete the work. Southbound lanes will remain open.

Caltrans will trim overgrown eucalyptus trees along SR-29. This is part of Caltrans’ regular tree maintenance. No trees are scheduled to be removed.

Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.

Caltrans thanks you for your patience as we work to maintain California’s highways.
