FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

State Route 12-Between Fairfield and Suisun City
Rehabilitation Project
Overnight Alternating Lane Closures
Starts Week of July 18, 2017

SOLANO COUNTY— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is scheduled to start construction of the State Route 12 (SR-12) Fairfield-Suisun Rehabilitation Project next week. The project rehabilitates and repaves 6-miles of eastbound and westbound SR-12 between Chadbourne Road in Fairfield and Lawler Ranch Parkway in Suisun City.

The work is scheduled to start the week of July 18, 2017 and be completed by November 2017.

Although no full highway closures are scheduled, motorsists may experience delays as crews repave SR-12 with intermittent overnight alternating lane closures. Work is weather permitting.

To ensure worker and public safety, one of the two eastbound lanes and one of the two westbound lanes may be periodically closed overnight starting the week of July 18,

One lane eastbound and one lane westbound will remain open during construction. Work hours will be Monday through Friday starting at 9:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following mornings.

Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.
