FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
State Route 12-Rio Vista Bridge
One-Way Traffic Controls-Deck Repairs
Start Sunday, April 17, 2016
SOLANO AND SACRAMENTO COUNTIES – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform necessary bridge deck repairs on the Rio Vista Bridge on State Route 12 (SR-12) between Solano and Sacramento Counties.
The work is scheduled, Sunday, April 17 starting at 6:00 AM and will be completed at 9:00 AM that same morning. All work is weather permitting.
To ensure public and worker safety, one-way traffic controls will be in effect. Crews will alternate lane closures in both eastbound and westbound directions. This will allow one lane on the bridge to remain open during the work. Flaggers will help direct traffic.
Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.
For boat and ship traffic, the bridge will operate normally for any vessels passing underneath it along the Sacramento River.
Caltrans thanks you for your patience as we work to maintain California’s highways and bridges. Please #BeWorkZoneAlert.
