FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

U.S. Route 101 Old Redwood Highway Interchange Improvement Project
New Off-Ramp Configuration Begins Thursday Morning, February 19

Petaluma, Sonoma County – On Thursday morning, February 19, Caltrans will enter a new construction stage for the U.S. Route 101 Old Redwood Highway Interchange Improvement Project, and there will be a temporary configuration for the northbound and southbound off-ramps at the Old Redwood Highway Interchange.

Drivers should be aware that when they are exiting the freeway at Old Redwood Highway, they will have to choose the left lane or right lane as soon as they begin to exit. Lanes will be at different heights, and once a lane is entered, it will not be possible to switch lanes.

This week there will be temporary closures of off-ramps while the contractor prepares for the new stage of construction.
• Northbound U.S. Route 101 off-ramp to Old Redwood Highway will be closed Tuesday night, February 17, and Wednesday night, February 18, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• The Southbound U.S. Route 101 off-ramp to Old Redwood Highway/Petaluma Boulevard North will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

These closures depend on weather conditions and will be rescheduled if necessary. Please drive cautiously through the construction zone, leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you, and Slow for the Cone Zone. The California Highway Patrol will be on site during closures.
