SOUTHBOUND INTERSTATE 880 HOV LANE PROJECT
Northbound and Southbound Freeway Closures Scheduled This Week

SAN LEANDRO, ALAMEDA COUNTY – This week the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin removing the temporary support underneath the Interstate 880 Marina Boulevard Bridge. Full freeway closures are needed to perform the work safely. The full closure schedule is as follows:

• Southbound Interstate 880 will be closed on Wednesday, February 18 and Thursday, February 19, from 11:59 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
• Northbound Interstate 880 will be closed Tuesday, February 24 and Wednesday, February 25, from 11:59 p.m. to 4 a.m.
• In addition, lane closures will be in place from 9:00 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.

Detour
Freeway traffic will exit I-880 at the Marina Boulevard off-ramp, travel across Marina Boulevard, and use the I-880 on-ramp.

Motorists should expect delays during full freeway closure hours and are advised to use alternative routes, if possible.
