U.S. Highway 101/State Route 84 (Woodside Road) Interchange Improvement Project
Public Scoping Meeting and Open House
San Mateo County – Caltrans District 4 (Oakland) along with the City of Redwood City will hold a public scoping meeting and open house for the proposed U.S. Highway 101/State Route 84 (Woodside Road) Interchange Improvement Project in Redwood City. The purpose of the project is to improve peak-hour congestion at the interchange, traffic operations at nearby intersections along Woodside Road, and bicycle and pedestrian access in the interchange vicinity.
The project is proposed in cooperation with the City of Redwood City and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority.
Caltrans is beginning to prepare an Initial Study/Environmental Assessment (IS/EA) for the proposed project. The scoping meeting will be held to provide the public an opportunity to learn about the scope of the IS/EA and provide comments on potential issues that should be considered during the preparation of the IS/EA.
A presentation on the project development and environmental review process will begin at 6:45 p.m. The rest of the meeting will consist of an open house format, in which attendees can view informational exhibits and ask questions of project team members. Comment cards will be available for the public to provide input on the project’s potential environmental impacts. Attendees do not need to watch the presentation to understand the project or to provide comments.
The San Mateo County Transportation Authority (SMCTA) will also be in attendance.
