to the san Joaquin/Sacramento County Line

San Joaquin County The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on State Route 12 (SR-12) from Potato Slough to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line for paving.

Work will begin on Monday, April 21, 2014, through Friday, April 25, 2014, from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 20 minute delays.  Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

Construction is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials, and construction related issues.

This work is part of the $47 million Bouldin Island Rehabilitation Project.  This project will construct a new roadway to replace the existing SR-12 between the Potato Slough and the Mokelumne River Bridges. The project will improve safety by constructing a concrete median barrier with five-foot inside shoulders and eight-foot outside shoulders with rumble strips and is scheduled for completion in 2017.
