J-Mack Ferry Overnight Closure March 12th
For Regular Preventive Maintenance
SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will temporarily suspend service of the J-Mack Ferry. The J-Mack is scheduled to be closed Wednesday, March 12th at 9 p.m. until Thursday, March 13th at 5 a.m. to perform regular preventive maintenance.
The J-Mack, also known as the Steamboat Slough Ferry, provides around the clock service on State Route 220 between Ryer Island in Solano County and Grand Island in Sacramento County.
During the closure, motorists are advised to use the Real McCoy Ferry, also known as the Cache Slough Ferry along Highway 84.
