FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Weekend Nighttime Closures for Three Mile Slough Bridge Cancelled

SACRAMENTO COUNTY The threat of rain has prompted the cancellation of this weekend’s overnight closures on State Highway 160 between Rio Vista and Antioch, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). The Three Mile Slough Bridge will be open Friday, February 14 through Sunday, February 16.

Motorists can expect future work postponement when wet weather forecasts are expected for the $2.98 million bridge deck and control house rehabilitation project at Three Mile Slough Bridge. Caltrans advises motorists and local residents to follow us on social media for the latest updates.

Over the next two months, the highway is scheduled to be closed daily from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. at Wilbur Avenue, south of the Antioch Toll Bridge, and at the junction with State Highway 12. Roadside message boards will be used to alert motorists of the closures and signed detours will be in place, but some motorists may need to drive as much as an additional 80 miles, or about two extra hours, to reach their destination. The schedule is subject to change due to unexpected events or weather.
