U.S. 101/State Route 116 Construction Demolition Continues for Northbound U.S. 101 Bridge Full Closures of SR 116 Planned for Night Demolition

U.S. 101/State Route 116 Construction
Demolition Continues for Northbound U.S. 101 Bridge
Full Closures of SR 116 Planned for Night Demolition

Petaluma, Sonoma County – Demolition continues for the northbound U.S. 101 bridge over State Route 116/Lakeville Highway. Caltrans is scheduling night work over State Route 116 from Thursday night, February 6 through Saturday night, February 8.  Due to traffic on SR 116, the roadway will be closed and the demolition will take place at night. Residents may notice increased noise during this construction activity.  

Closure Schedule
Thursday night, February 6 to Friday morning, February 7
  • Eastbound SR 116 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Westbound SR 116 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Friday night, February 7 to Saturday morning, February 8, and Saturday night, February 8 to Sunday morning, February 9
  • Eastbound SR 116 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Westbound SR 116 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Detour: Traffic may detour to Caulfield Lane and S. McDowell Boulevard.

If this work is delayed due to weather conditions, it will be rescheduled for a later time. Please drive cautiously through the construction zone and leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you.  Please remember to Slow for the Cone Zone. The California Highway Patrol will be on site during these closures.
