Lanes Closed Due to Oil Spill
Major Delays
ALAMEDA COUNTY – Caltrans crews are working to clean-up an oil spill on eastbound
Interstate 580 near North Flynn Road just east of Livermore. Due to the spill,
the #3 and #4 lanes on eastbound I-580 near North Flynn remain closed as of 5
p.m. Crews estimate reopening at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Approximately 200 gallons of
motor oil from a big rig spilled.
Caltrans has activated its
changeable message signs in the area alerting motorists.
Drivers are advised to expect delays and if
possible take alternate routes.
