U.S. 101 Old Redwood Highway Interchange Improvement Project
Pile Driving Continues This Week

Petaluma, Sonoma County – Pile-driving continues at the U.S. 101 Old Redwood Highway Interchange. Work will continue at the median on Wednesday, October 2, then will move to the southwest corner of the interchange. Pile-driving for this construction season should be completed by October 7. Pile-driving will continue next year on the north side of the interchange. The piles are part of the foundation for a new bridge that will be constructed.

In general, pile-driving will take place during the day, Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. At times, however, the contractor may need to work later than these posted hours. Residents and business staff may notice increased noise during this activity

This work is weather dependent.  If it is delayed due to weather conditions, it will be rescheduled for a later time. Please drive cautiously through the construction zone and leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you.  Please remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
