FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Napa County Highway 29 Lane Closure

Napa County –Caltrans (District 4) will conduct a lane closure on Highway 29 in Napa north of Tubbs Lane between Robert Louis Stevenson Historical Trail and Livermore Road. This will begin Monday, May 13, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the following two weeks. After two weeks, the closure will be twenty-four hours a day until early October 2013.

The one-way traffic control will enable workers to construct two retaining walls along a section of Highway 29 where a large slide occurred in 2006. This work requires placement of temporary traffic signals to allow for one-way traffic control twenty-four hours a day. Advanced warning message signs will be placed.

Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes if possible. Please drive cautiously and remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”

  1. Alternate routes? Sure, I'll just take the tunnel under the mountain instead. Thanks for constructing that, by the way.
