WHAT:           Ground-Breaking for San Mateo County Smart Corridor Project.

WHY:             This project will deploy new signal system software that integrates over 250 Caltrans and city owned signals along El Camino Real and major local arterials in addition to installation of a fiber optic communication system. Integration of the Smart Corridor equipment will enable local cities and Caltrans to cooperatively monitor and manage traffic operations.
